51st Grammy Awards Starring Lil' Wayne

The 51st Grammy Awards show will broadcast on February 8, 2009, and New Orleans rapper Lil' Wayne is nominated for eight Grammys that night. Coldplay closely follows him with seven nominations, and Jay Z, Kanye, and Ne-Yo all have six nominations.

Weezy has come along way from his "wobbly-wobbly" days, and seems to be in the prime position for obtaining a number of Grammy's. With that many nominations the question is not will he win. It's more like how many? Any guesses?

The Carter III sold over 1 million copies in its first week. It is one of those albums where almost any song could be a single. Sound like a classic? I guess time will tell, but the Grammy's might help us tell a little sooner.
