Purdue University’s African American Studies & Research Center will host its 21st Annual Symposium on African American Culture. This year’s theme is Hip Hop in the African Diaspora. The keynote address, “Beyond Stereotypes:Culture, Politics, and the Hip Hop Generation” will be delivered by Dr. Jeffrey Ogbar, Associate Professor of History and Director of the Institute for African American Studies at the University of Connecticut.
