Who on earth is closed-minded enough to think that “lekker” is only used in South Africa? The word itself is in Afrikaans, however, use of the word in an everyday/hip hop context cannot be attributed to one group of people. If you look above, you will see the phrase “Used in Zones,” not the phrase “Created in Zone.” This page doesn’t imply that “lekker” is originally Zimbabwean, merely that Zimbabweans use it.
Well, to add my two cents here. Lekker is a Dutch word meaning tasty. This is where the word originated. NOT in Zimbabwe. Nor in South Africa. Do not forget that Afrikaans was the language of the Boers, who were the Dutch colonists in South Africa. Afrikaans comes originally from the Dutch language.

It is an AFRIKAANS word from SOUTH AFRICA, that is used all over southern part of Africa, by Afrikaans and English speaking people of all races
