Entertainment Now

The main attractions of "Entertainment Now" are the music videos of current Latino artists in hip hop and reggaeton. In addition, there should be links to other sites associated with "entertainment" and Latino hip hop culture. These links could include, for example, a link to "Mr. Cartoon," a famous Latino tattoo artist, as well as various Latino hip hop clothing sites. These links would also include the websites we have collected and assessed regarding the Latino community & hip hop (e.g. LatinoHipHop.org, BrownPride.com and ReggaetonFever.com).

We have also collected lots of old/throwback videos from the ‘80s/early ‘90s relating to entertainment. These include everything from old music videos of Latinos in hip hop early on (e.g. Crazy Legs and Mr. Wiggles from RockSteady Crew), to George Lopez clips or interviews. We think that these "old" videos could go in a "Throwback Video Vault," since they don't really belong under "current" entertainment. These videos may not be of current interest to kids, but they could have an educational value for those who are interested in Latino roots in hip hop.

[1] It was difficult to find videos of the artists in The Fearless Four, but here is a biography of the group found on OldSchoolHipHop.com: http://www.oldschoolhiphop.com/artists/emcees/fearlessfour.htm

[4] It seems that some of the official videos for Pun's songs available on Youtube were made posthumously.

[5] This is a really good video; it comments on issues of immigration/assimilation in the U.S. "I'm reppin' for my hood, you can put that on Selena / And right now, they got us cleanin' up Katrina / Yo Kanye, Bush don't like Mexicans eitha."
