Amanda Diva Performing on HBO’s Def Poetry Jam
Known by many for her popular Sirius Satellite Radio show and recent hosting of MTV2’s Hip Hop shows, Amanda Diva is bringing her wealth of talent to the masses. As a poet, actress, emcee, author, songstress, and scholar, Amanda is setting the pace for an impactful career in entertainment and beyond.
On Friday, July 29th, Amanda will perform for the second time on Russell Simmon’s Def Poetry Jam, Episode 36. The show is hosted by prolific emcee/actor Mos Def, and showcases some of the most amazing lyrical stylists in the world. Other performers hitting the stage with Amanda include Brother J of X-Clan, Sekou, Big Poppa E, Stacyann Chin, Al B. Back and Common. The show begins at 11:30pm on July 29th, and will be re-aired several times through August 1st.
Amanda Diva recently released a new book of poetry entitled Young Skin, Wise Mind, Old Soul, as well as the mixtape It’s Bigger Than Hip Hop Vol. 1, both of which are available on her website. She is traveling the nation as summer progresses, with appearances in Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston, and Houston. She will also be a correspondent for E! Entertainment the first week of August.
