Hoping to inspire underprivileged girls in New York, female rapper Remy Ma will take part in a panel being held by the Strength of My Sisters foundation later this month.
Next Thursday, July 27 Universal/SRC artist Remy Ma will speak to an audience of underprivileged girls about overcoming the struggles she faced growing up in the Castle Hill section of the Bronx. The panel, presented by the Strength of My Sisters foundation, was organized as a means of presenting teenage girls with positive role models - particularly women who have survived childhood hardships and gone on to greater success. The event is aimed at offering the girls examples of role models to emulate, inspiring the younger women to make their own success stories.
The event will be held next Thursday, July 27 from 6-8 pm in Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Strength of My Sisters is particularly focused on changing the startling statistics of prostitution, juvenile criminal offenses and HIV infection among young African-American women.
Remy will appear in the panel on July 27th from 6-8 pm.
