Join a conversation with Sickamore, Professor Marcyliena Morgan and Alvin B. Carter III about fostering creativity while maintaining marketability, the process and creative choice of albums and the future of the recording industry

With 10-plus years of experience in the music business, Trinidadian-born, Randall "Sickamore" Medford has been heralded as the new generation’s favorite A&R, the music industry's term for a person who finds talent for labels, coaches artists and directs music projects. Developing the successful careers of Travis Scott (RodeoBirds In The Trap Sing McKnight) and YG (My Krazy LifeStill Brazy) among many others, his A&R smarts have yielded gold and platinum results.

After holding tenures at Atlantic Records, Def Jam and Epic Records, Sickamore is the Senior Vice President of A&R and Creative Director at Interscope Records. Aside from being a savvy A&R man, Sickamore is actively involved in pushing forward the hiphop culture in various capacities with the mission of teaching the fundamentals of artist discovery and development and empowering the creative superstars of tomorrow.

Check out "The Sickamore Residency: A&R goes live at Harvard" on the Office for the Arts at Harvard website to learn more about Sickamore's two day Harvard residency.
