Hiphop is about expressing your truth, your way, and in your words. Expressing your truth means standing up for what you believe in. But what does it mean to stand up and scrutinize the same culture you participate in? How do we collectively navigate sexism, misogyny, and objectification in hiphop?

This Women's History Month, let's all make a point to stand up. Let's stand up for our women and girls who deserve celebration every day of the year. Let's call out sexism, misogyny and objectification so we can lift our women up rather than tear them down.  In particular, let's pass the mic and listen to the many women who have been expressing their own knowledge and truths.
